PLAN OF ACTION

tonia’S Program…

  • Restore squat mechanics

  • Unilateral strength (anterior and posterior chain)

  • Work on upper body and core strength

  • Improving run gait through simple cues and reinforcing with targeting strength work

I did my second sprint triathlon in a month last Saturday. After 8 weeks of SFE training, I feel really strong. I surprised myself on the bike with a faster average speed and I held a consistent pace on the run. Best of all, I had no knee pain during or after the race. The consistent training is working well.

If anyone had told me a year ago that in a year’s time I would have completed a 70.3 and a week later a marathon, I would have laughed. I had trouble walking a year ago with a medial meniscus problem. I’m so pleased and grateful I signed up with SFE earlier this year. The strength training and personalised approach are obviously working. I’m looking forward to achieving future goals. Best wishes Tonia
