A bit about Ange..

It took me a long time to pluck up the courage to approach you to help me with my strength training - the fear of failing, the fear of being broken again, my back buckling and the nerve pain reappearing concerned me but after our first chat your positivity and excitement with how you could help me was a game changer. I have learnt this last 6months to have belief in myself and my body’s ability to adapt and strengthening with the correct programming and process. Your daily knowledge and wisdom shared on instagram constantly reminds us why it is so important to strengthen our bodies for longevity. I do feel I am on the way to being a stronger version of me and I am very thankful to you

Shout out to Kriss for your knowledge and expertise strengthening me in what has been a year like no other. After my base strength testing in January over zoom I did look/chuckle at you in disbelief with the goals you felt were achievable......lifting my body weight and chin ups to name only two. I might need to mention that in January after my back and pelvis injuries lifting a 3kg dumbell was the limit. The progressive weight loading to help my muscles adapt and gain strength has been awesome. I stand taller through my thoracic spine and feel a much stronger person overall than I did. Maintaining my strength is so important to be able to achieve goals and do the things I love on a daily basis. Proud to say WE have achieved those goals...lifting body weight reps @ 55kg barbell back squat and close grip chin up reps band assisted. Thanks Kriss for our zoom chats, technique comments and positive affirmation they have empowered me immensely.

...I am finally able to participate rather than be a spectator. I felt really strong throughout the race, and the trail run was awesome. All in all, the strength work we continue to do has been the winner. I was not ‘body fatigued’ at all during or after the race.”

A year on! This morning at Park Run I ran my first 5k with NO stops @ 28min 28sec. So very happy right now. Very minimal pain that I was able to push through and come home strong...Yesssssssss!!

Challenges along the way

The journey is never linear…

Long recovery period – mentally and physically challenging.

Rehab really tests every human emotion. You would think I should be experienced with the dam roller coaster.

THE RESULT

Where we are today…

“Just wanted you to know it was so much fun out on the trails this morning, even with the hills. I'm super happy with my result, 8th out of 101 runners - 45+ category. Felt really strong from start to finish. I was really impressed with my downhill running today. Thanks for all your strength guidance!”
